SEND
SEND Pillars of Support
At HCFS we strive to support every child and their individual needs. The Pillars of Support Provision Map (see below) outlines what we have in place to offer any child. We have identified five pillars of SEND support which cover the following strands:
- Cognition and Learning Needs;
- Communication and Interaction Needs;
- Sensory and Physical Needs;
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs;
- Medical Needs (Identified through Health Services).
This is our Local Offer to the pupils at Hatfield Community Free School and we endeavour to be transparent when working in partnership with our families.

The Local Offer
Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25. This is known as the ‘Local Offer’.
The Local Offer lets parents and young people know what special educational needs and disabilities services are available in Hertfordshire, and who can access them.
