PSHE (including RSE)
Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE) and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) at HCFS
At HCFS, our PSHE and Citizenship scheme of work aims to equip children with essential skills for life. It aims to develop the whole child through carefully planned and resourced lessons that develop the knowledge, skills and attributes children need to protect and enhance their wellbeing. It is the mission of HCFS to ensure pupils leave our school confident, resilient and change agent citizens. Lessons within our Scheme of Work have their foundations in seeing everybody’s value in society, appreciating the uniqueness of all and promoting British Values.
We have developed a Scheme of Work with the help of the PSHE Association which covers three key themes throughout; Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the Wider World. Our curriculum meets the needs of the DfE statutory guidance on Relationships and Health Education 2020, setting these intentions within a broad and balanced curriculum.
