As they learn about climates, landscapes, and how people live in different parts of the world, children begin to appreciate global diversity and the connections between human and physical geography. Mapping skills, fieldwork, and enquiry-based learning are introduced early and revisited throughout the curriculum. These experiences help pupils build cultural capital by expanding their knowledge of different communities, traditions, and environments.
