Modern Foreign Languages and Spanish at HCFS

At HCFS, Spanish is taught using and adapting the Language Angels Scheme to meet the needs of our pupils. Explicit Spanish lessons are delivered once a week in Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6), with each session lasting 50 minutes. These lessons aim to develop pupils’ confidence, understanding, and fluency in Spanish through a balanced approach to speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Language Angels

Language Angels provides teachers with structured weekly lessons designed to either consolidate previously learned skills or introduce new concepts. The scheme has been developed by an experienced team of foreign language specialists and linguists to ensure pupils receive a rich, engaging, and progressive learning experience.
