Year 2 Kick Rounders Festival
Some of our Year 2 pupils had the exciting opportunity to take part in a fun-filled Kick Rounders Festival! With five schools competing and teams of eight, the game followed traditional rounders rules—except players kicked the ball instead of batting, and each cone reached was worth a point.
The children had a fantastic time, showcasing some powerful kicks that helped us rack up plenty of points. As the matches progressed, our fielding sharpened, and we grew more confident, making crucial stops and well-placed throws.
A huge thank you to Oakview School for hosting this brilliant afternoon of sport and teamwork.

Year 5/6 Girls Dynamos Cricket Festival
Eight of our girls were selected to take part in an exciting and fun format of cricket. Before stepping onto the field, the team spent time practicing their catching, throwing, and batting skills — showing great enthusiasm and teamwork.
As the match began, there were a few nerves, especially with some players new to the game. But once play was underway, the girls quickly got the hang of the rules. Their confidence grew with each over, leading to some brilliant batting and fantastic fielding.

It was now the boys' turn to participate in the exciting cricket festival, and they didn’t disappoint!
We were first up to bat, and some powerful shots made it all the way to the boundary.
But it wasn’t just the batting that impressed — the boys’ exceptional teamwork in the field played a crucial role in keeping the opponents from scoring. Their focus and coordination were key to securing the win. After an impressive performance, the boys emerged victorious, claiming first place!

Speed Stacking
Tuesday 10th December 2024
Even though HCFS had participated in the event before, it was a brand new experience for many of the children. During the event, they had the opportunity to practice the various cup formations needed. It was impressive to see how quickly the children grasped the formations. They had to stack the cups in two specific arrangements: 3-3-3 and 3-6-3. Each child aimed to achieve the fastest individual time, and congratulations to Louie and Ayesha for setting the best times! The event then moved on to a team relay, with separate races for boys and girls, followed by a mixed relay at the end. Great job to all the children!

Friday 8th November 2024

Six schools were present, and the matches were organized in a 4 v 4 format, with the girls competing in the first half and the boys taking over in the second half. The fast-paced nature of the game made it both intense and unyielding; however, all the children performed admirably and enjoyed themselves immensely.
