Intra House Competitions

As our PE block comes to a close, it was time to showcase the skills we’ve developed over the past few weeks.

Year 4 formed five teams of six players each. With four teams playing simultaneously and one team rotating off, the tournament was full of energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of fun. It was a fantastic way to apply what they’ve learned in a spirited and supportive environment.

Year 6 split into  teams and played a modified version of the game known as High Five Netball. This version features five players per team and excludes wing positions, making it a great introduction to netball roles and movement restrictions. While understanding where players could and couldn’t go was initially a challenge, everyone quickly adapted. The tournament was a brilliant display of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.

This Term  Year 3 students took part in an exciting gymnastics competition, focusing on the theme of asymmetric and symmetrical balances.

We provided a framework outlining the key elements their routines should include, and the children truly brought it to life with their creativity and teamwork.

Working in groups of five, each team choreographed and performed a routine that was judged across a range of categories. The results were as follows:

Most CreativeGroup 1

 Best Team SpiritGroup 2

Most Captivating PerformanceGroup 3

Most Complete RoutineGroup 4

 Best Use of SpaceGroup 5

The final and most anticipated award was for our Overall Favourite Routine. It was a very close call between Group 1 and Group 6, but after much deliberation, we’re thrilled to announce that Group 6 took the top spot!

Congratulations to all the groups for your hard work, enthusiasm, and incredible creativity. Miss Shephard and I were so impressed by your performances — you should all be very proud!
