Y5/6 OSA FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT - 22/05/2026

On the hottest day of the year so far, Edson, Tolu, Lenny, Dion, Alfie, Charlie, Raastin & Daniel took to Onslow to compete in a football tournament, hosted by our partner school Onslow. The boys played 4 fixtures and won 2 and lost 2, leaving us with a second place finish. The boys are making positive strides to becoming a better team unit. Big shout out to Edson for his 4 goals throughout, and Lenny for his 1 goal, and becoming player of the tournament!

HCFS SWIMMING GALA - 20/05/2026

Wow! We have some future Olympians or Commonwealth Games winners right here at HCFS. Mr Flynn took Max, Bella, Gabriela, Chloe D, Jessica, Alex, Wilfred & Antwone to compete at HCFS' first ever Swimming Gala! Since Mr Flynn took over the role of Sports Coordinator, he has been searching for every and any event he can, to give the children of HCFS opportunities to explore events outside of the norm. I cannot explain how proud I am of these children, finishing 4th out of 10 schools, and 1 point off of a Bronze Medal. We will certainly be attending this event next year, and the coming years after that too!

Y3/4 DISTRICT TRI-GOLF COMPETITION - 18/05/2026

Another new event! On Monday, Mr Flynn took 8 Y3/4 children to Brocket Hall to compete in a District Tri-Golf event, hosted by our wonderful School Games Officer, Natasha. Harry, Lana, Soraya, Maddie, Rosanna, Peter, Dominic & Stefan all behaved fantastically, and showed off some impressive golf skills. With limited practise time, and with Mr Francis providing  feedback to Mr Flynn after practise week 1 that we needed some extra practise, the children managed to finish 4th out of 11 schools. A huge achievement and a massive thanks to Mr Francis for supporting in their practise.

YEAR 5/6 INDOOR ATHLETICS COMPETITION - 27/02/2026

What an event! 30 students from Year 5/6 took the short journey to Onslow to compete in the Indoor Athletics Qualifiers! With track & field events, we showed how great we can be. Winners in the Vertical Jump (shoutout Hrisha) and winners of all our relay races! The boys finished 3rd and the girls finished 4th, but it wasn't quite enough to get through to the finals. All great practise for District Sports in the summer.

YEAR 5/6 ARCHERY COMPETITION - 05/02/2026

8 students from Year 5/6 (Natalia, Gabriela, Antwone, Natas, Alexsis, Justin, Ryan & Fatimah) competed in the OSA Archery Competition, involving schools from Hatfield. HCFS managed to finish 2nd and win a silver medal! A fantastic achievement by all 8 of our excellent pupils and we couldn't be more proud! A special shoutout to Antwone, who finished 5th out of every individual there for his high scores. Well done all :)!

YEAR 3/4 RAPID FIRE CRICKET - 30/01/2026

On Friday 30th January, Year 3/4 took to Onslow St Audrey School to attend the annual Rapid Fire Qualifiers, hoping to qualify for the Finals in March! All 8 Students played extremely well, and represented the school in a fantastic manor, which Mr Flynn was extremely happy with. Unfortunately, we did not make it to the Finals, however a great day out for all and some key experience in a competition format for some! Roll on next year!
