It’s been a great first week! 

The children have all settled back in brilliantly and are completing some fantastic learning already. 

In English. The children completed a VIPERS based reading comprehension based on the short story: Patcho and Pigeon.  

In maths, the children have amazed us with their knowledge of place value in numbers with 3 and 4 digits. We are looking forward to seeing how this knowledge helps them with other areas of maths that we will visit.

Our project this half term is a popular one - 'Let's Face It' - which focuses on the children's art skills in creating portraits. We have already been impressed by the artistic skills shown in the classroom and cannot wait to see what else they create in the coming weeks.
