During each academic year, our intent is to develop the spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding of each child at HCFS. These key events that have been planned provide our pupils with opportunities to think about helping others through a variety ways.

The Department of Education reinforces the need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."

At Hatfield Community Free School, we provide opportunities for pupils to explore their own culture and have a clear understanding and appreciation of a wide range of the cultural influences that have shaped modern Britain.
Our school encourages all children to be tolerant and respectful to those of different faiths and beliefs. This is done by providing the children with an understanding of the main festivals and key dates of significance to British culture.
