Monday 5th February to Friday 10th February we held our whole school Spanish week.
During our afternoon learning, children were involved in lessons focusing on different areas of Spanish history and culture. The learning the children undertook included learning about the story of the famed Spanish literary character Don Quixote and renowned surrealist and painter Salvador Dali (and his incredibly moustache).
Splitting between Reception and Year 1, Year 2 and 3, and Year 4 and 5, children also continued to develop their Spanish language skills; some creating Spanish cuisine menus written in Spanish while others stuck post it notes to themselves, labelling their own body parts in Spanish.
The week then ended with Miss Hidalgo teaching the whole school a simple flamenco routine, with all the children dressed up in Spanish themed clothing.
