Extended Learning (3 - 4pm)
Extended Learning (3 - 4pm) is run by the school staff and external providers.
Each year group will have the opportunity to attend any extended learning clubs, run by members of the school team, and one or two extended learning clubs, chargeable, run by an external agency. Clubs will run for a period of one whole term.
Should you wish your child to remain in the school building from 3 – 4pm on any other days, you must have booked them a place at Sherpa Kids.
Children must be collected from the main office at 4pm after the extended learning clubs, or if attending Sherpa will be escorted round.
The following processes for Extended Learning Clubs apply:
Extended learning clubs do not take place in the first week or last week of any full term (childcare, through Sherpa Kids 3 – 6pm will still be available every single day).
You must book your child into secure a place for the whole module (a full term) of learning. Single sessions are not available.
Booking will open at least 2 weeks prior to the end of every term, with a deadline date. Any bookings received after this date will not be accepted.
Places for clubs are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
You will receive a confirmation email allocating your child’s place, after which time payment must be made via parentpay.
The school reserve the right to take away a place should a child not follow the school ethos of behaviour.
Children who are in receipt of pupil premium funding will have the opportunity to take part in one paid extended learning club each week, funded by the school, as long as the booking form has been submitted in the appropriate way, on a first come first served basis.
Once the deadline for the booking has passed, there will unfortunately be no opportunities for a place for your child, in which case you may need to seek childcare from Sherpa Kids.
